ABOUT

Hunter Valley Traditional Archers

Hunter Valley Traditional Archers is a traditional archery club located in Black Hill, NSW just outside of Newcastle. The club was formed in 1987 and is dedicated to preserving the sport and craft of Traditional Archery in Australia. HVTA is a family orientated club that welcomes all to the club whether you have been shooting a tradbow for years or are giving it a go for the very first time.

Our regular club shoots are held every second Sunday. We have our two major shoots throughout the year, “The Gathering” which is held over the June long weekend and “The Andrew Spiechowicz Memorial Charity Shoot” which is held on the October long weekend. Each event attracts 130+ archers from across the country to our club and our shoots have been some of the largest traditional archery events in Australia over the past twenty years.
